Board Meeting Highlights from September 8, 2009

The North Pinebrook gate will be replaced with a wooden one as there is a problem obtaining parts for the metal gate. This installation will be done in the spring.

There will be a special assessment of $50.00 per lot and homeowner added to the 2010 dues. A $25.00 assessment will be made to condo owners. This money will be used toward the spraying of tent caterpillars in the spring. Whatever money is not used for the spraying will be put in a restricted fund for the removal of trees affected by the emerald ash borer.

Twelve dead trees on Legend Trail have been removed due to the invastion of the emerald ash borer. This will be an ongoing project as deemed necessary.

Our financial books will be reviewed annually by a firm of certified public accountants.

The North Crossover area (where the bridge was removed) has been trimmed. The responsibility for this area will be handled by Shanty Creek and the condos involved.

It is imperative that property owners obtain permission from the SVA Architectural Committee before undertaking any major improvements on their homes.

Any equipment used at the SVA Beach Club will now have to be signed out with the property owner’s card left at the desk until the equipment has been returned.  Hopefully, this will help keep the equipment from being damaged and or lost.

A permanent marker will be placed on the kiosk in the city of Bellaire showing that it was donated by SVA.

The dates set for the Annual Meeting/Dinner Dance and the SVA Annual Golf Outing were set at this time.  Please see the Social calendar on the web site.

After discussing the invasion of tent caterpillars this year, it was determined that the resort is looking into a spraying program for next year.  It is not known at this time what the contribution from SVA would be for the spraying.
