The Shanty Creek Property Owner's Golf Weekend will be held the weekend of May 4 - 6, 2012.

The SVA/ShantyCreek annual meeting will be held on September 15, 2012

The SVA budget for 2011/2012 was approved in the amount of $227,864.00.

A motion was made to discontinue any power to the docks at the Summit Village Association Beach Club.

The Beach Club parking lot was restriped and new handicap parking signs placed.

Board Meeting Highlights from August 18, 2011

Jim Hatcher, Condominium Representative, submitted his resignation.

The SVA Beach Club parking lot wiill be sealed and restriped this fall. Twenty six new chairs have been ordered for the Beach Club. The refrigerator at the Beach Club will be cleaned out every 24 hours due to people leaving their food and beverages there for too long of a time.

Jeff Woolsey will be the entertainment for the Three Village Dinner on September 24, 2011.

Board Meeting Highlights from July 7, 2011

Bob Frasier, Beach Club Chairman resigned and Charles Anderson was appointed as an interim replacement.

The swing set at the SVA Beach Club will be installed this week. It was ascertained that the Kearney Township Boat Access adjacent to the SVA Beach Club could be used to put wave runners, etc in and out of the water.

Board Meeting Highlights from June 2, 2011

The Memorial Day clean up, luncheon and dinner in the evening at the SVA Beach Club went very well with a good turnout. New shirts are being ordered for the staff and the swing set will soon be installed. At present time there are 27 people on the waiting list for a boat slip.

The SVA Board will be sending a letter to Shanty Creek reminding them that their guests no longer have use of the SVA Beach Club.

Since keeping up e mail addresses would be a major project, the Board has decided that when the President's Letter is sent out in the fall, we will ask who would like their information mailed. Otherwise, it will be posted on our web site. Mailing has become a very expensive cost.

New fencing has been installed at the east end of Deskin Drive.

Board Meeting Highlights from May 5, 2011

Property owners who rent their homes need to make sure their renters understand the rules for Summit Village Association.

A concrete sidewalk will be constructed from the Beach Club clubhouse to the boat docks and Pavilion.

A Three Village social committee has been formed to plan future events involving the three villages of Shanty Creek. The first event is a Three Village golf outing on August 23.

Seven local organizations have filled out the application for the mini-grant program. The amount set aside for this will be divided equally..

Letters are being sent out this month for the 2011 boat slips.

A discussion was held regarding replacing the wood chip path at the SVA Beach Club with a different material. Bids will be sent out for this.

A motion was made to accept the financial agreement with the resort regarding payment for road usage.

This will be sent to Shanty Creek resort for approval. There are ongoing legal issues with three property owners.
